Four Everyday Autumn Inspired Look – Peach & Cranberry

October is my favourite month of the year, why? Because its when the cold, crispy autumn seasons starts to roll in and also because i am born a libra. When i was in Switzerland, i bought MAC Cosmetic’s eyeshadow in Paradisco and Cranberry, some typical autumnal shades but never really used it. To commemorate them, i decided to take them out to further experiment them. Below are the four simple looks that i have created with the list of products. Three looks will be based on Paradisco, a shimmery peach, while the last look was based the shade “Cranberry”, a burgundy.

Looking into beauty trends in Asian/ Korean vs. Western/ American look for Autumnal vibes, it seems that the Asian/ Korean trends take in more peachy looks while the Western/ Americans usually go with burgundy shades normally due to eye shape. Though in 2017, It seemed to have flipped over just by the palettes and shades famous brands of each side brought out. Western brands like Two Faced has came out with a “Peach” Matte line, where as Asian brands like Etude house has brought out “Wine” based palettes.

Also, i had my eyebrows tattooed two weeks ago in Indonesia. A blogpost will follow after having it retouched, which will be around next month.

Day 1 of eyebrow embroidery

These are my peeling brows, day three in with the embroidery so it looked really messy 😦 It was also on my birthday. Please don’t mind it.

Look One

Etude House Fix & Fix Primer: Pore
Etude House Double Lasting Foundation in Sand
Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finish pressed powder in 20 Clair Translucent 1.
NYX blush in Taupe
Chanel Jouse Contraste Powder Blush in 67 Rose Tourbillon.
MAC eyeshadow Charcoal Brown & Paradisco
Clio liquid eyeliner – Black.
ColourPop LippieStix in Mirror Mirror

All the looks below are at least a week after i have gotten my brows done.

Look Two – Everyday look without liner

I wore significantly less Paradisco and more brown in this look as compared to the one before, which i really liked. Also, this was the first time i tired out Etude House’s peel off lip colour (Dear Darling Water Gel Tint Pack) which caused the inner part of my lips to be extremely dry.

Fentybeauty Filtr Primer
Etude House Double Lasting Foundation in Sand
Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finish pressed powder in 20 Clair Translucent 1.
NYX HD Blush in Taupe
Chanel Jouse Contraste Powder Blush in 67 Rose Tourbillon.
MAC eyeshadow Charcoal Paradisco + Brown
Maybelline the Falsies Volume Express WaterProof
Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint Pack in OR201 + Dear My Blooming Lips Talk in BE104

Look Three

I would say the look that i was most satisfied with, because I had more time and incorporated different crease shades to achieve this look. Because of The Balm’s greyish shade, it looked more sophisticated then the first look. The lip colour was darker and consistency was lighter in the lipstick i used here. IMG_6523

Clio Kill Black WaterProof Brush Liner

Look Four – Cranberry eyes

I absolutely loved the colour “Cranberry”, but didn’t really know how to apply it without looking as though i got punched in the eye. But of course i have time to play more with it 😀

Étude House Precious Mineral BB creams – Review

Etude House in Singapore had a sale on many of their products during Christmas of 2016, 50% of particularly on BB creams with purchase of two, might as well buy some no? Being in humid HongKong for 6 months worth of internship, each week working 6 days and 10 hours per day i stuck down to Boujois Healthy Mix foundation since i knew it will last me all day without being too creamy like foundations do. I have not touched BB creams again until last Christmas.

These are the two i’ve purchased – Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream in Blooming Fit and Cotton Fit. I’ve only previously tried the Bright Fit version in 2015 and surprisingly, they have repackaged their logo to less princessy in 2016.

According to the official Etude House website, below is the description of the BB Creams

What it does:
– Brightening: Containing bright pearl layer to provide delicate brightening effect on skin and care darkend skin with sebum for clear and delicate skin tone.
– Excellent coverage: Application of ‘Slim Layer Fit Formula’ to prevent from getting smudged after re-applying or layering.
– Moisturizing skin care: Optical oil reflects light to regular directions to maximize gloss and shine. It also contains bamboo sap to hydrate and care skin.

While all BB creams are well known moisturising, the Cotton Fit is known for its matter qualities as compared to its other versions in Etude House stores. As i will be back to the cold mountains of Switzerland to finish off my last semester of university, i’ve been using more of the Blooming Fit and found it to be very similar to the Bright Fit one in terms of moisturising properties. Whilst the Cotton Fit i’ve been only using it in Singapore and Indonesia due to its hot weather.

I did not include photos of the bottles as for sure everyone knows how it looks like already with its standard pump.

Both were purchased in W13, the 2nd out of three colours.

As you can see from the swatch after blending it out, the Cotton Fit version is more pink compared to the Blooming Fit although not much more. My skin has gotten more dry as of now probably due to age, even the Blooming Fit doesn’t feel moisturising enough after it has set. I am still waiting for a shipment of mine from for the Etude House Skin Conditioning Cream to see if it is able to help with extra moisturization. I am not able to wear Cotton Fit for an extended period of time in the cold winter weather as it is too mattifying.

I won’t say which amongst the two is my favourite as it caters for different skin types and it caters to wear in different season. In hot and humid South East Asia, Cotton Fit did wear for 6 hours before i’ve gotten shiny while the Blooming fit in about 4 hours. Both without the need of powdering on top, or my favourite Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer. They both helped me cover the majority of my redness and occasional pre zits. Etude House markets to the younger market as compared to Sulwhasoo, its price point even without discount is still very affordable.

Summer Make Up/ Skincare Haul – Part 1

Being back to Asia basically equals to getting all the love and care our body is used too. Food, weather (not really), languages, familiar places, and last but not least, beauty products. Since I’m back to Asia, i have decided to change up my skin care regiment and as well, stock up on make up products. This post is just one of my many segments of what i shopped whilst i was back, and this particular one focuses on Etude House. Etude House has some serious girly and colourful packaging! That aside, their products are suited towards teenagers – young adults (early 20s). I’ve been using some product since i was 17 up until now (I’m currently 22), and some products I’ve been loving and repurchased multiple time.

These are just some repurchase i’ve decided to get in both Singapore and Indonesia while vacationing.

1x AC Acne Daily cleansing foam
I have acne prone skin, and i would change out my acne “fighting” cleansers every 6 months as i did not want my skin to get too accustomed to a product. This acne cleanser and Clinique’s Acne Solution Foaming Wash. I would use these ance cleaners during the mornings only, and then at night the Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam (either the BB version or normal one). I haven’t gotten around to purchase the Baking Powder cleanser yet.

2x Precious Mineral BB Cushion
At the beginning of Summer, i have already purchased a BB cuchion refill, but spending 1 month in the beach wearing this foundation only i ran out faster then imagined so a second one is needed.

10 x Mask
Etude House doesn’t have the perfect mask, but it brings radiance to the face after each sheet no matter what label it says though some more moisturising then others. Its really affordable too!

And of course, can we forget the Samples/ Free gift they offer? As i have purchased more then 500,000 Rupiah at an Etude House, i was eligible to sign up as member which gets me 20% off future purchases. Etude House in Indonesia is really expensive, spending 500,000 local currency isn’t difficult at all.

Can i just mention how cute the hair brush is? I’ve never in a hundred years can imagine getting hair brush as a free gift, but hey i’m not complaining 😀 they also provided some samples of the firming line products, which i can use for when i stay over at someone’s house for a night.

Etude House A-Z I Need You, Mask Sheet

Coming back to Asia means easy and affordable access to Asian sheet mask again 🙂 I’ve been seeing the newly packaged Etude House A-Z masks since last December but didn’t have the chance to try them out until last month.

This is my second purchase of these mask. For the month of September of 2014, Etude House Singapore will provide a “Buy 3 get 2 free” promotion. These five mask will cost S$5.90 instead of S$9.50.

From this line of mask, Etude house has released 26 alphabets and a few other extra symbols. Each alphabet caters towards different wants.

[UPDATED] 2013 Hair care products – what I use to care for my bleached hair

Hi everyone~ today I’ll be updating about my hair care routine – what products do I use to help my frequently bleached and dyed hair so it does not get fizzy. All the products mentioned are under 10 Singapore dollars (since I got them during promotional periods.) but the real price is not much expensive. These are the things that you can get in the drug stores and online shops. I started bleaching my hair since October 2012, and from before I dye my hair almost 4 times a year so the roots growing wont be too obvious. I use to use only shampoo since my hair is super oily, just like my face, but I had to add conditioner eventually. Now that i bleached my hair so constantly, shampoo and conditioner is enough but it really depends on what shampoo and conditioner. Plus, i want to give my hair extra attention. Well, hope you guys enjoy~

Here’s my Etude House haul I did during the week where they were having 30% off (in Singapore), the whole month of February where there were promotions (In Jakarta, Indonesia) and while I was in Taiwan.
